Growing up in a family of race fans, watching the Daytona 500 on TV was something we always looked forward to. Mom always made these wings to snack on during the race. Once upon a time these were called Wing Dings, but somewhere along the way they were renamed Daytona Wings.
Two of my very favorite people in this world, as well as one of the photographers who inspires the heck out of me. She's an incredible surf photog and her story is one of the most inspiring things I've ever heard — check out her film, Lumiere! So grateful for these two and that they were willing to let 2 mainland strangers crash on their floor 2 years ago and feed them endless acai bowls. Love them so, so much (and love Willow their weird frenchie even more).
